The Beatles Monthly Book original Issue No. 47 was the first issue to feature front and back colour photographs, and featured articles and photos about the recently released Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, which is now recognised as a major step forward in recorded pop music, featuring several innovative recording techniques.The book included information about each of the songs and also the photographic session that produced the famous album cover. Overall in very good condition for a 59 year old book, with no loose pages, but there is a small tear at the top left of the front cover. The original buyer’s name is written in biro on the back cover (See the accompanying photos).
