American singer Ella Mae Morse, September 12, 1924 – October 16, 1999) unique blend of jazz, blues, and country, has given her the title of the first rock 'n' roll singer. Originally, at the early age of 14, a singer with the Jimmy Dorsey Band, she later went solo and also appeared in films.
