Captured is absolute magic. During "Cats Under the Stars" and "Catfish John," Garcia turned on an incredibly aggressive, heavy fuzz-wah effect. Kahn’s deep, reggae-influenced bass lines and Kemper’s precise, jazz-inflected drumming gave this era of the Jerry Garcia Band a lighter, more danceable groove.
