It's 1949, CBS has offered Lucy Ball one of their top radio stars, a chance to move into television with her own show. Lucy is eager to give Television a try-but only on her own terms; the show must co-star her real life husband Desi Arnaz , CBS seeking a more All-American husband, says, "no way". But Lucy like her sitcom alter-ego, is never one to take no for an answer. She and Desi then produced the " I Love Lucy", pilot themself. This historic show, however, did not air. But it was so appealing that CBS signed the couple to a deal.
