The lyrics are a handwritten working manuscript of the 'Penny Lane' lyrics from 1966. They are written and corrected in blue ink on slightly yellowed paper. There are 2 versions here (only final version shown) as the 16 line first draft on 1 page (first draft of 'barber' verse, 'nurse' verse, final verse and chorus) and a further 11 lines on second page (final draft of 'barber' verse, first draft of 'banker' verse, part of the chorus).
